Somewhere behind his disheveled haircut and mangy beard, Duke Lemmens is out there toting around a 6’4″, 243-pound frame of solid muscle. This little-Lion-man is not only NFL-sized, but he couldn’t be more NFL ready.
“It’s been a crazy last year for me. I wasn’t thinking about the NFL coming into last season; All I was worrying about was being able to start my senior season. I was voted captain which is the thing I’m most proud of in my whole athletic career.
“Indecision is a decision.” By going 2-14 in the 2010 NFL Season, the Panthers earned the #1 selection in the 2011 NFL Draft. With the responsibility of the #1 overall pick, comes the responsibility of what information is leaked to the media and what information is kept hush-hush.
With over 4-months time to do their homework, there’s no question in my mind that the Panthers know exactly who they’re selecting. As an NFL Draft enthusiast, I take all of the information I’m presented with at face value and …
When it’s all said and done, Marcus Wilson may be the best NFL prospect coming out of Division 3 this season. He has the ability to come into the NFL and contribute immediately as a Special Teammer before working his way into a starting role at DB. At 6’2″, 216 lbs, Wilson runs a 4.53 40 meter dash and has drawn looks from NFL Franchises as both a Safety and a Corner.
Both Mel Kiper Jr. & Todd McShay have Cameron Newton being selected as the #1 Overall pick in their latest draft’s which have been posted heading into the second week of April. Although the Panthers are dealing with very real quarterback issues, Carolina needs to select best player available on board in Marcel Dareus and make due with their 2010 2nd Round Selection Jimmy Clausen for the 2011 season.

So without further adieu, I present to you, “Mr. Touchdown”:

Nearly 1 month from this year’s NFL Draft, I’ve pieced together a 2nd Mock Draft. Of course there will be a lot of change during the next month as different pro day’s continue to take place across the nation, but I think this is fairly accurate given all of the information I have now. Be sure to check out my draft analysis at the bottom of this post to find out the “most accurate”, the “least likely”, and “urgency creator” of my picks.
Too Legit to Quit
Nearly two years from the 2009 Draft that should have given professional football life to Michigan Tech’s Robert Haynes, we still wait to see if an NFL career is at the end of this young man’s road less traveled. There’s an old saying that goes, “if at first you don’t succeed, try again.” Typically this saying doesn’t apply to footballers who miss their NFL shot the first time around, but when you’re working with sub 4.3 speed and 29 reps on the bench, it doesn’t hurt keep …
